Would you like to be part of someone’s special day as a Ceremony Celebrant?

Oxfordshire County Council’s Registration Service is seeking to expand its pool of Ceremony Celebrants to work on a casual basis, county-wide, in order to cover peak periods of demand generally through the summer months.

The Registration Service often conducts such a recruitment exercise at this time of year. Applicants would need to be able to drive and have access to car to travel to venues.

The days of work will be flexible depending on ceremonies booked so the council is looking for people who are available and can give notice of advanced availability.

Alicja Gilroy said: “This is a great opportunity to be part of someone’s special day and in the past we’ve seen successful applicants go on to have a very rewarding and fulfilling time with us.

“You’ll need to be confident, well-presented, punctual and pay attention to detail as well as having good communication skills.

“Neat and legible handwriting is also essential and it may be that you are required to work at short notice. Full training for the post will be given.”
