Woodstock Library update: Nearby museum set to provide temporary home

Due to the current closure of Woodstock Library, Oxfordshire County Council is finalising arrangements to provide a temporary Library in The Oxfordshire Museum.

Staff intend to locate the main Library in what is currently the Innovations Gallery, Public Network access and Reference material will be provided from the Learning Centre on the first floor and Children’s Rhymetime will be run from the Dinosaur Gallery from this week.

Plans are not yet fully finalised but the county council wishes to assure residents of Woodstock and surrounding areas that they will be kept informed of the plans and timescales for these arrangements as soon as they are known.

In the meantime, the book dropbox in The Oxfordshire Museum and branches in Witney, Charlbury, Eynsham and Kidlington have been well used by the people of Woodstock since the Library was closed on October 29.
