Enjoy Jurassic-themed activities at the Oxfordshire Museum this Christmas

Oxfordshire Museum DinosaurPeople of all ages are welcome to come together and join in the fun and festivities this Christmas at the Oxfordshire Museum.

This year’s theme at the Oxfordshire County Council-run museum is all things dinosaurs.

A range of activities and events are being held throughout the festive period for people of all ages, including the annual Oxfordshire Craft Guild’s Christmas Exhibition, a festive I-Spy trail – the 12 dinosaurs of Christmas, dinosaur themed arts and crafts, wreath making and much more.

The Oxfordshire Craft Guild’s Christmas Exhibition displays some of the best art and craftwork by leading craft makers and designers from across the county and runs until 30 December.

Councillor Neil Fawcett, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community and Corporate Services, said: “The Oxfordshire Museum always has a brilliant selection of fun activities and events for everyone to enjoy over the festive period. This year’s dinosaur themed Christmas is sure to be a hit with families, and there’s plenty for people of all ages to enjoy.

“The Craft Guild is always a popular annual event too, and the perfect chance to pick up some gifts for someone while supporting a local craftsperson.”

Entry to the museum is free. The café will also be getting into the festive spirit, serving homemade Christmas biscuits, seasonal soups, hot chocolate and mulled wine.

Find out more about what’s on at the museum, including how to book a space onto the wreath making workshop by visiting the museum’s website.
