Experience a magical summer at the Oxfordshire Museum

With musical performances and theatrics, there is something for all residents to enjoy this summer at the Oxfordshire Museum.

The Oxfordshire County Council run museum will be hosting three ticketed events in the beautiful gardens.

Danny George Wilson from the heartland rock and soul band, Danny and the Champion of the World, will be playing his only summer gig in the county on 27 June. This will be the first ever musical performance at the museum.

Meanwhile 440 Theatre will be back, by popular demand, to perform its entertaining medley of Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing on 25 July, while family-friendly theatre group Fabularium will be performing Reynard the Fox later in the season (22 August).

Mark McCree, Oxfordshire County Council’s Head of Libraries and Heritage, said: “Our Oxfordshire Museum has so much to offer to people of all ages. We’re particularly excited to be hosting three brilliant events in the scenic garden. From theatre to music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, and we’d encourage everyone to buy their tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out!

“Of course, entrance to the museum is free, and there will also be a wealth of free activities for children throughout the summer, plus delicious cakes, so a trip to the museum is a great day out for everyone.”
