High winds and storms in Oxfordshire

Highways teams in Oxfordshire have remained busy dealing with the impacts of Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin with damaging high winds having crossed the county - particularly on Friday, February 18 but afterwards too.

Roads crews  received more than 180 calls to incidents on Friday. These included  trees that had fallen in to roads or footpaths causing obstructions as well as damaged trees that led to very large branches on road surfaces.  During the course of the weekend  and since - including during Storm Franklin - more than 80 further calls to incidents have been received.

Those who wish to inform the council of a highways related problem due to the storm should call 0345 310 1111.
