Football stadium agreement published

A community collaboration agreement signed in May between Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford United FC has been published.

The agreement followed the signing in April of heads of terms for the lease of council-owned land near Kidlington for a new football stadium.

The community collaboration agreement ensures the club meets its commitments against the council’s strategic priorities and to the local community and sports groups in both the short and long term.

Elements of the collaboration agreement have been redacted prior to publication due to commercial sensitivity and confidentiality.

The football club is seeking planning permission from Cherwell District Council for the proposed new stadium. This is a requirement before the lease of the land can be completed.
