Residents to get controlled parking in Iffley Fields

A new residents’ controlled parking zone is to be introduced in the Iffley Fields area of Oxford following a local consultation.

Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet member for Environment and Economy, County Councillor Yvonne Constance, has today approved the proposals which will see the roads to the west of the A4158 Iffley Road between Jackdaw Lane and Fairacres Road reserved for residents and visitors parking.

County Councillor Constance said: “Concerns from residents over parking pressures in the area have increased significantly in recent years and so I am pleased that we are able to help.”

Funding has been allocated by the county council for the design of the scheme which aims to address the needs of the residents and businesses in the area, and – subject to consultation on more detailed proposals expected later in the year – its implementation.
