Proposals to improve safety on High Street in Kingston Blount

Views are being sought on proposals to build kerbed chicaine build-outs on High Street in Kingston Blount.

The traffic calming measures would be at the Eastern and Western ends of the route.

At the Eastern end the first build out exiting the village would be on the south side of the carriageway around 65 metres north-east of its junction with Icknield Close. A second build out would be approximately eight metres further north on the northern side. Priority would be given to traffic travelling north-eastwards out of the village.

At the Western end the first build out exiting the village would be on the north side of the carriageway approximately 100 metres south-west of its junction with Stert Road, with the second build-out approximately eight metres further south on the southern side. Priority would be given to traffic travelling south-westwards out of the village.

People are asked to lodge their views with the council before November 3 by writing to Trafic Regulation Team (Ref. CM/12.6.115), Strategic Director for Infrastructure Delivery, County Hall, Oxford, OX1 1ND. Further detail can be found at http://consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk
