Primary school application process opens in Oxfordshire for September 2024
Parents and carers of children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 can now apply for their children to attend a primary school for September 2024.
Applications should be submitted online at: www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/primaryadmissions
Councillor John Howson, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Young People’s Services, explains: “Please use the opportunity to name four schools. This will not make it less likely that your first preference will be offered. However, it does reduce the risk of all preferences being unsuccessful and your child being allocated a place at a school that is not named on their list.
“It is important to apply on time because late applications will be processed later in the year and are far less likely to secure places at preferred schools than applications received before the deadline.”
The deadline for submitting completed applications is 15 January 2024.
Parents and carers will then be contacted with the result to their application on National Offer Day, 16 April 2024.
