Oxfordshire winners of The King’s Award for Enterprise
Three Oxfordshire companies been honoured in this year’s King's Awards for Enterprise, the country’s top business honour.
Cassington based Mixergy, an organisation that produces smart cylinders to maximise efficiency and reduce energy bills in the home, was a recipient of the King’s Award for innovation.
Meanwhile, Beadlight, a company in Witney that produces lighting and touchscreens for aviation, and Intralink, an international business development consultancy based in Abingdon, received awards for excellence in international trade.
His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Marjorie Neasham Glasgow BEM, who will be presenting the awards on behalf of the King, said: “I am delighted that these three Oxfordshire based businesses should be recognised for their outstanding achievement in the categories of innovation and international trade. The King’s Award for Enterprise is considered the UK’s most prestigious accolade for businesses around the country. Congratulations.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s commitment to continuing the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in recognising outstanding British businesses.
Now into its 59th year, the programme celebrates businesses that represent the best of British enterprise in the following categories:
- innovation
- international trade
- sustainable development
- promoting opportunity through social mobility
Awards are valid for five years.
Those who receive an award are given a Grant of Appointment and commemorative crystal trophy, use of The King’s Awards flag and use of the emblem on marketing materials, and an invitation to a royal reception.
Anyone wishing to apply for the award in 2026 should visit the King’s Awards website, and apply before 9 September this year.
