Oxfordshire County Council named finalist in PropTech Innovation Fund Round 6

Oxfordshire County Council has been selected as a finalist in Round 6 of the PropTech Innovation Fund, working in partnership with industry and local authority collaborators to pilot new digital approaches to modernise the planning system.

The PropTech Innovation Fund, part of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s digital planning programme, supports local planning and combined authorities to test how digital innovation can address key challenges in planning delivery.

Oxfordshire is part of one of 11 consortiums chosen nationally, sharing £2.4 million in funding to support innovation in planning services. The chosen consortiums now enter an eight-month pilot phase, with a showcase of outcomes planned for early 2027.

The pilot will focus on improving how data is used across the planning system, helping to tackle some of the key barriers to housing delivery – particularly around evidence, data flows, and coordination across planning processes.  

By working collaboratively across multiple authorities and industry partners, the project will test solutions in real-world environments to support more consistent, efficient, and transparent planning outcomes.
