New speed limits to be applied on Church Road at Long Hanborough

Motorists travelling through Long Hanborough in West Oxfordshire will be subject to new speed limits in response to a new development nearby.

Oxfordshire County Council recently consulted on plans to extend southwards the existing 30mph speed limit on Church Road and the introduce a 40mph speed limit in place of the existing national speed limit between Long Hanborough and Church Hanborough.

As well as the speed limit change, the developer will pay for the relocation of the existing traffic calming build out and road hump to the point at which the new 30mph speed limit on Church Road will end.

The decision to undertake the work was by Councillor Ian Hudspeth, the Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, at the Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy meeting on July 20.
