New speed limits in the Harwell area

New speed limits are to be set on two roads in the Harwell area of southern Oxfordshire following a consultation held by the county council during 2017.

A 50mph limit is to be introduced on the new Harwell Link Road and the existing 40mph speed limit between Didcot and Harwell is to be replaced by a 30mph limit.

Funding for the scheme is from the council’s wider Harwell Link Road project budget. The county council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy, Councillor Yvonne Constance, approved the work at a meeting on January 11.
