New speed and weight limits for Witney Roads
Proposals have been approved for lower speeds limits on the A40 Witney bypass, Downs Road and Curbridge Road.
The work will be done as part of the major West Witney residential and commercial development with the necessary funding being provided by the developers.
The proposals, which are designed to help with the safe flow of traffic, will also see a 7.5 tonne environmental weight on the B4047 between its junction with the A40 at the west end of the Witney bypass and Downs Road. The weight limit also covers the B4477 Brize Norton Road between the A40 and the B4047 Burford Road.
The new speed limits will be 50mph on the A40 Witney Bypass and 40mph on Downs Road and Curbridge Road.
