New 30mph limit for Foxcombe Road in Sunningwell

Foxcombe Road in Sunningwell and Wootton is to see a new 30mph introduced by Oxfordshire County Council.

The change was requested by Sunningwell Parish Council in response to concerns over the dangers and disturbance caused by speeding motorists.

The speed limit will also be reduced from 40mph to 30mph on parts of Berkeley Road and Bayworth Lane to avoid having very short lengths of 40mph limits on these roads.

The full costs of the speed limit change are to be met by Sunningwell Parish Council and the final decision on the change was made by Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment Yvonne Constance on June 29.
