Lower speed limits agreed for Henley

Two new speed limits are to be introduced in Henley following a decision taken by Oxfordshire County Council.

A 20mph speed limit is to be put in place of the existing 30mph limit in Henley town centre and a 40mph limit north of the existing 30mph speed limit on the A4130 The Fairmile.

The proposals were put forward by Henley Town Council and the local county councillor in response to concerns over road safety and the wider impact of traffic on residents.

The decision was made following a local consultation and funding for the new speed limits has been provided by Henley Town Council.
