Last few days for temporary library

Oxford’s temporary Central Library is due to close on Friday (17 November) to make way for the new Oxfordshire County Library at the Westgate Centre.

Visitors will be without their city centre library for just four weeks, as stock is transferred and the new library is decked out with a host of impressive new facilities. Other city libraries will be open as usual in Summertown, Headington, Cowley, Blackbird Leys and Old Marston.

Anyone borrowing items from Monday 13th November until the library's closure will benefit from an extended loan period, free of fines and extra hire charges, across the Christmas holiday into early January.
