Easter holiday activities available to Oxfordshire children

Children and young people will benefit from a holiday activities and food programme across Oxfordshire this Easter.

Organised by Oxfordshire County Council and its partners, there will be over 13,000 places available for children eligible for free school meals.

Fun and educational wellbeing pursuits for five to 16 year olds include swimming lessons, bike riding, boxing, creative arts, life skills and health care.

The county council has also arranged for its partners to provide families with healthy meals, cooking videos and recipes at a number of the activity venues.

Hannah Farncombe, Oxfordshire County Council’s Deputy Director for Children’s Social Care and Early Help, said: “These activities will help children and young people enjoy things they might not otherwise have an opportunity to do with their friends. It’s a great way to keep active and motivated during the holiday, hopefully leaving them refreshed and ready to start the next school term.”

Further information and eligibility criteria can be found on the holiday and activities webpages on Oxfordshire County Council’s website.
