County’s young musicians hit national stage

Performers from the County Youth Orchestra, Youth Flute Ensemble, Witney Youth Choir, Vieullaume Quartet and Youth Chamber Choir will all feature in the Music For Youth event, having been selected at a regional performance earlier this year.

Some of the youngsters will perform to audiences at Birmingham Town Hall and Birmingham Conservatoire during the festival, which runs from Tuesday 7 July to Saturday 11 July.

The council's Cabinet Member for Cultural and Community Services Lorraine Lindsay-Gale said: “Congratulations to all the young musicians chosen to take part in this prestigious event. It’s good to know there will be an array of Oxfordshire talent hitting the national stage and I’d like to wish them all the very best of luck.”
