Counting down to the Oxfordshire Care Awards – get your nominations in today!

There’s only a fortnight left to get your nominations in for this year’s Oxfordshire Care Awards.

The event celebrates the people, organisations and companies who have demonstrated excellence within the care sector in Oxfordshire, bringing together unpaid carers, the community and voluntary sector, and statutory and independent care providers.

The awards are organised by Oxfordshire Association of Care Providers (OACP) and hosted in partnership with Action for Carers Oxfordshire and Age UK Oxfordshire . The event is co-sponsored by OACP, Age UK Oxfordshire and Oxfordshire County Council with this year’s tag line, ‘inspiration for all!’.

Councillor Tim Bearder, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Caring isn’t just a job. Whether it’s working in a nursing home, caring for a loved one or volunteering at a day centre, the people who provide care in Oxfordshire are an inspiration and should be celebrated.

“I’m absolutely thrilled that the council is able to sponsor this event and show our support for carers in Oxfordshire.”

Eddy McDowall, CEO of Oxfordshire Association of Care Providers, said: “It’s always a privilege to be involved in the Oxfordshire Care Awards. The event gives the whole community a chance to thank the hard working people in our industry, celebrating those moments where people go above and beyond what’s expected.

“I would urge anyone who has experienced outstanding care to consider nominating the people or organisation involved for an award, showing your gratitude for the wonderful work that they do.”
