Councillor Mark Lygo takes on Cabinet role

A new Cabinet member for public health and equalities at Oxfordshire County Council has been announced.

Councillor Mark Lygo, the county councillor for Marston and Northway in Oxford, joins the Oxfordshire Fair Deal Alliance’s Cabinet just before its first formal meeting on Tuesday, 22 June.

He said: “Clearly the role of Cabinet member for public health is very important one at any time but all the more so when we are still in the midst of a pandemic. Equality and helping shape resilient communities in cooperation with partner agencies are also major priorities for the new administration and will be central to my new role.

“I am looking forward to embarking on this interesting and challenging role.”
