Council to fix Harcourt Hill

A popular road in Oxford is to be overhauled by Oxfordshire County Council next month.

Harcourt Hill between Westminster Way and Vernon Avenue will be resurfaced with work starting on 15 August.

The work is expected to take 10 days to complete and will also include replacing kerbs and ironwork, drainage improvements and the replacing of road markings.

To allow the work to be done safely there will be off-peak road closures which will be signed in advance. Access to the university campus will be maintained at all times.

The Oxford Bus U1 service will also be affected by the second phase of work and information regarding the route and stops will be placed on-site and on the buses in advance.
