Create and come together this Christmas at the Oxfordshire Museum

People of all ages are welcome to create, come together and join in Christmas festivities at the Oxfordshire Museum as it celebrates all things handmade and sustainable.

A range of activities and events are being held throughout the festive period for all ages, including family fun with the Twelve Days of Christmas i-spy trail, seasonal storytime sessions, and Oxfordshire Craft Guild’s Winter Exhibition.

The Oxfordshire County Council-run museum is also hosting its first festive late-night event on 8 December. It features a performance from the Bicester Rock Choir in the illuminated garden, free crafting activities and a special 10 per cent discount in the museum gift shop for one night only.

Councillor Jenny Hannaby, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services and Safety, said: “The Oxfordshire Museum always has a brilliant selection of fun activities and events for everyone to enjoy over the festive period. The team is really pleased to announce that the museum is hosting its first late-night Christmas event, which I hope will allow more people to make the most of what is on offer.

“The Oxfordshire Craft Guild’s Winter Exhibition is always a firm favourite and a chance to pick up some gifts for someone while supporting a local craftsperson.”

All activities and entry are free. The café will also be serving homemade Christmas biscuits, seasonal soups, hot chocolate and mulled wine.
