Charney Bassett’s roads get a fresh lick of paint during the late Spring sunshine

A week of fine weather has brought more than sunshine and warmth for the people of Charney Bassett between Abingdon and Faringdon in southern Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire County Council has made good use of the recent dry weather to repaint all the road markings in the village.

In addition – at the request of the Parish Council – the county council’s highways teams have painted ‘30’ on the roads at each of the four entrances into the village to remind drivers to slow down.
