Berinsfield Puffin Crossing

A Puffin has taken up residence on the A4074 in Berinsfield.

This Puffin is a “pedestrian user friendly intelligent crossing” which senses traffic and also when people have completed their journey across the road.

It was designed and built by Oxfordshire County Council with the £126,000 needed to do the work being provided by South Oxfordshire District Council. Work started in March with the switch on last week.

A little more work will be done in the next few days on the footpaths, but people can now use the Puffin to get across the road more easily and safely.
