Amber weather warning for Oxfordshire and Thames Valley

Oxfordshire County Council's team worked hard over the weekend to respond to the impacts of Storm Ciara.

Colleagues from Emergency Planning, Highways and the Fire and Rescue Service as well as contractors worked round the clock to respond to all the problems caused by the storm conditions.

Since the storm hit the team dealt with:

153 fallen tree / branches

4 calls for property damage

3 problems with fallen temporary traffic management

2 road closures

4 calls of debris in the road

3 problems with electrical equipment - 1 illuminated bollard , 1 traffic signal and 1 streetlight down

2 problems of tree damage to footway

1 flood

Although Storm Ciara has passed there's some useful numbers it's worth storing away in case you need them in future.

Fallen trees can be reported via 101. Any that are endangering safety or life should be reported via 999.

Power cuts can be reported on 105.
