A new 'Puffin' crossing in Wheatley

Plans for a pedestrian ‘Puffin’ crossing in Wheatley have been approved by Oxfordshire County Council.

The crossing was proposed for London Road at Wheatley northwest of its junction with The Glebe in order to provide a safe crossing point when pedestrian levels increase due to a new development currently underway in the area.

Waiting restrictions will also be introduced in the vicinity of two new accesses to residential development on the north side of London Road.

These safety improvements are being funded by developers and put in place over the summer.
