A-Levels and BTECs... Councillor Lorraine Lindsay-Gale congratulates students

Oxfordshire County Council Cabinet Member for Education and Cultural Services, Councillor Lorraine Lindsay-Gale, said: “Congratulations to all students receiving their A-Level, BTEC and other academic results, and the warmest of wishes for the future. Results day is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication both from the students themselves and teaching staff across Oxfordshire schools. It’s also important not to forget the important role of individual families in supporting their children throughout their schooling and during the stressful exam period itself.

“As always there will be some remarkable individual feats of achievement, some near misses and plenty of triumphs over adversity. For those students who have not received the results they were hoping for today, there is excellent support available both through the schools themselves and a number of services which offer help for young people. Once again, I would like to wish all our students success in the next chapter of their lives, whatever that may be.”
