Women’s Prize for Fiction 2013

Copies of the shortlisted titles for this prize will be available in libraries throughout the county to meet high demand.

Formerly known as the Orange Prize for Fiction, this great celebration of women’s writing is awarded annually and celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s writing throughout the world.

As in previous years, three Oxfordshire Libraries will be promoting this prize prominently and encouraging customers to get involved. Oxford Central Library, Banbury Library and Wallingford Library will be promoting the competition until July. However, all library customers can join in whichever library they use.

Paperback issues of the titles are also being purchased for the reading group collections.

The shortlist was announced on Tuesday 16 April. You can see the shortlisted titles here. The winner will be announced on 5 June.
