Repair work for road between Ducklington and Curbridge

Oxfordshire County Council will be repairing a road between the A415 at Ducklington and A4095 at Curbridge shortly.

Work is programmed to start on Thursday 17 August 2017 on the un-named road and is expected to last for three weeks, subject to any bad weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances during construction.

The work will include structural repairs to the existing road, carriageway resurfacing, drainage improvements and the replacement of road markings.

This is one of a number of maintenance projects funded thanks to a successful bid by the county council to the Department for Transport for the Local Highways Maintenance Challenge Fund, which resulted in a government grant of almost £13m.

Traffic management

To enable these activities to be carried out safely, the work will be carried out under road closure and a signed diversion route will be put in place.

Staff will be positioned at either end of the closure to direct traffic and pedestrians to ensure the safety of the public and workforce.
