Parking restrictions approved for Kingsmere in Bicester

Parking restrictions designed to improve traffic flows and safety on the Kingsmere development in Bicester have been approved.

Oxfordshire County Council recently consulted on proposals to introduce double yellow lines – meaning ‘no waiting at any time’ – at Pioneer Way, Hexham Road and Whitelands Way.

The lines were put forward in order to address concerns raised by residents through the residents association, emergency services and the developers over parked vehicles obstructing the spine roads and, in particular, restricting visibility at junctions and bends.

Approval was given by County Councillor Yvonne Constance, Cabinet member for Environment and Economy, today. The lines will be implemented by the developers before the roads are formally adopted by the county council.
