Nuneham Courtenay’s 30 mph speed limit to be extended

Motorists passing through Nuneham Courtenay will in future be subject to a slightly longer stretch of 30mph than is currently the case following a decision by Oxfordshire County Council.

The development of land on the east side of the A4074 and a new junction to give access to that development is what has led to the decision being taken.

The existing 30mph speed limit will be extended northwards along with the village ‘gateway’ features. Developers will pay for the work to be undertaken.

The decision to undertake the work was by Councillor Ian Hudspeth, the Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, at the Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy meeting on July 20.
