New zebra crossing in Woodcote

Pedestrians in Woodcote are to benefit from a new pedestrian crossing to be installed on the B471 Oxford Road just south of its crossroads with the South Stoke Road and Reading Road.

The proposal was initiated by Woodcote Parish Council who have funded the design and will pay for it to be installed by the County Council.

It is proposed that officers at the county council will monitor the operation of the new crossing once it goes in .

The decision to undertake the work was by Councillor Ian Hudspeth, the Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, at the Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy meeting on July 20.
