New puffin crossing planned for Thorney Leys, Witney

A new puffin crossing is to be installed at Thorney Leys in Witney following a consultation with local people and organisations.

The move was proposed due to development on the east side of the A4095 Curbridge Road in Witney. A puffin crossing is a signalled crossing for pedestrians.

The full costs of the scheme will be met by the developers of Richmond Village.

Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy Councillor Yvonne Constance approved the plan at a meeting on September 7.
