New puffin crossing for Banbury Road, Oxford

Students at d’Overbroek’s College in North Oxford will benefit from improved safety when crossing the Banbury Road thanks to the installation of a new puffin crossing by Oxfordshire County Council.

Funding for the work has been provided by the college and the crossing will be located just north of the Banbury Road’s junction with Hernes Road.

Right turns from Hernes Road into the Banbury Road will in future be prohibited.

Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy, Councillor Yvonne Constance, approved the work at a meeting on February 8.
