New junction to be created where Mill Lane and Thame Road in Chinnor meet

New housing near Chinnor has led to a decision by Oxfordshire County Council to allow developers to rearrange the junction of Mill Lane and Thame Road to accommodate additional traffic demands.

The existing junction of Mill Lane with the B4445 and B4009 will be replaced with a new junction approximately 75 metres north west of the current location.

In addition a new zebra crossing will be installed on Thame Road just north west of its junction with Lower Road.

All of the work will be paid for by the developers responsible for the creation of the new housing to the north of Mill Lane.

The decision to undertake the work was by Councillor Ian Hudspeth, the Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, at the Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy meeting on July 20.
