New crossing planned on A4130 at Milton

Pedestrians and cyclists near Milton in southern Oxfordshire are to benefit from a new toucan crossing on the A4130.

The new crossing is to be installed around 500 metres to the east of the A34/A4130 Milton Interchange roundabout. It is also proposed to extend an existing 40mph speed limit eastwards by 200 metres in place of the current national speed limit.

Proposals were made as part of wider work to provide a safe and convenient route for pedestrians and cyclists between Milton Park and Didcot, Milton and Milton Services off the A34.

The decision was made by Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy Councillor Yvonne Constance at a meeting on January 11.
