Traffic information

How the work is going

The team continue to make good progress and completed most of the early work which includes setting up the compound, fencing off the site and installing the generators.

Plant machinery has been delivered and is being used to strip the topsoil and filling in key areas with aggregate.Major earthworks – where the team will be using the heavy machines to start digging out and moving large volumes of material - has now started.

Roundabout work underway

Work on the southern roundabout started on 19 January and this phase needs traffic management on the A417 so that the work can be done safely. I

nitial traffic management measures has been put in place and temporary lights will be in use from Wednesday 25 January along with a temporary speed restriction of 30mph.

This may have an effect on your journeys so plan your journeys to take this into account, especially if your journey involves leaving the village and heading towards Hagbourne Hill.

The site team will be monitoring the traffic management to try to keep any delays to a minimum.
